Hey all,
I’m starting an Applied and Computational Math Masters in the spring. I’m actually super excited to get back into math again as I’ve been in engineering for \~5-6 years now and feel I haven’t used much math. I’m trying to make a transition, in a few years after I get the masters, to finance mainly. However, I know that can be competitive so I want to prep myself and know what can I actually do with this degree outside of just quant/risk analysis. That could be anything from Financial analyst to actuary to SWE. For context, it’s ACM with a focus in prob and stats. So what are your thoughts???
Also, since I’m rusty, what are your best recs for brushing up on multivar/linear/diffeq? I’m planning on slamming khan academy, but any recommendations are welcome!
Thanks!
