Math and Depression

I’m currently an undergrad going into second year who’s struggling with math really bad.

FIRST YEAR
First, I enrolled in my university’s introductory analysis class during first year (Spivak), completely bombed and ended up dropping it before the exam. At the same time I was enrolled in abstract linear algebra, which I got a C in. During the second semester of first year I enrolled in the regular linear algebra 2, and got a D in it.

NOW (SUMMER TERM)
Now, during the summer, I just finished doing a proof based calculus class (harder and more rigorous than the usual calc 1 and 2, but not quite analysis). And I was doing pretty good for the most part up until the second half, I had an A at some point, but now honestly I think I failed.

For the past two years I’ve been struggling with depression and confidence problems with math, and it’s really holding me back. My major is math btw, and to make matters worse, I manage to do pretty good in every other class. My transcript is all As except for the 3 math classes I’ve taken, abstract linear algebra is a C, linear algebra 2 is a D, and calculus might literally be an F.

For the summer class I’m taking, if it ends up being a fail, I’m held back a year. The biggest reason it went bad was because my relationship was going through a lot of problems and it peaked during exams and what not.

It just seems like there is always something holding me back from succeeding in math, whether it’s life, depression, relationship problems, etc. I’m not inclined to give up, because I feel like I really can do it, and well I did for about 2 months when I had an A in that calculus class.

To be honest I was gonna ask specific questions but after writing all this out I’m kind of lost. So just sharing I guess.
