I was thinking about graphing things while in my AP precalc class and i remembered a graph that had holes in it. it was (-a)\^x.
i plugged stuff into my calculator, (-2)\^1.1 and got a real and imaginary number, which makes sense considering that the decimal acts as a root. people usually only graph the real number, but what if i mapped the imaginary value to the third axis? making the axis not xyz, but xyi.
it makes a spiral that gets larger in positive x values and smaller in negative x values (roughly pictured in third image, which i made in class lol)
i tried doing some research and haven't seen anything about this online, so i thought i would post it somewhere.
