I dont think I have to preface this with any opinion about AI because its results speak for themselves. Basically I’m still getting the handle of proofs strategies for analysis problems or graph theory problems. The only issue is that I don’t know how to effectively gauge to which degree LLMs are taking away my growth in the learning process itself. I’m not naturally the fastest when it comes to intuiting which steps to take in a proof, but there’s just so much explosive research breaking through that I feel like skipping a lot of the organic process to jump into using LLMs. How much of the learning process in math should be strictly pen and paper, and what can I do to optimize productivity and training in my own performance and depth of insight. What I’m trying by to say is, is it worth it to struggle through problems for the sake of personal growth? How can I balance LLM use so I don’t feel like a complete imposter?
